Many thanks again to listener Bob! Just a few photos of the Pozieres area. The view from the Windmill really shows the flat farmland all around. Many times the Australians had to move to their trenches over this ground in daylight, and in full view of the Germans.

To the north, from the 2nd through the 14th of July, the British begin grinding towards the German second position with local, uncoordinated attacks.
